DECEPTIO bills based on the number of words analyzed. Each month your account is loaded with 3,000 tokens. Unused tokens roll over each month and do not expire. Once tokens are consumed you may purchase additional tokens in app. Tokens may be purchased at .003 cents per word.
- The average length of a word in the English language is 4.7 characters, however, DECEPTIO calculates a word as consisting of 6 character spaces. A character space can consist of a letter, a punctuation symbol, a drop down to the next paragraph, indention in a paragraph, or an empty space between words. This is why DECEPTIO allows for 6 character spaces over the average word length of 4.7 characters.
- The following sentence is an example of how DECEPTIO would calculate word usage:
- The quick brown fox jumped over the fence.
- There are 8 words in the above sentence which make up 36 characters including spaces and punctuation. Since DECEPTIO calculates 6 character spaces as one word the above sentence would be calculated as 6 words.
